Bronze Age Mediterranean Wall Medallion

Inspired by the great Bronze Age civilizations of the ancient Mediterranean, this one-of-a-kind custom designed and hand painted wall medallion features patterns and themes from both Minoan and Mycenaean artifacts. The gilded sun wheel at the center is inspired by Minoan coins discovered at Knossos, while the surrounding sea life is based largely on their famous frescoes. The surrounding border pattern and the octopus are both based on designs from Mycenaean pottery. It has been aged and antiqued to perfection to reflect its ancient origins and inspiration.
